Invitations

I have always made the invitations for my girls' birthday parties. This year I decided to attempt to do a picture with Carrington dressed as Cinderella. Let's just say that taking pictures with Carrington is quite a challenge. She does not want to look at the camera. I had to use several tricks like "Smile for Elijah." "Look at Elijah. He's in the camera watching you." "Where's Jasmine?" We finally got one to use. Wouldn't you know that after 50+ pictures, it was the second picture I took. Here are just some of the snapshots I took.

Fun in the Backyard!

I thought this was so funny. I took the girls out in the backyard while Scott finished up some yard work for the neighbors. I hear McKenna and Carrington talking and getting something ready. McKenna informed me that she needed Hadleigh to sit in the wagon. I asked her what they were doing and she said we are making a parade like at DisneyWorld. This is their precious attempt at a DisneyWorld parade-one lawnmower, one tricycle, one riding toy, one toy wagon and three sweet girls. I love my girls!

Family Math Night!

I coordianted a Family Math Night at OGES. My mom came to be with McKenna since I was busy in my class. McKenna and Nene went around to all the estimation stations. Here they are trying to guess how many pieces of candy in the jar.

Good Friends and Good Food

All of the girls went out for Stacy's farewell dinner.-Tracey, Shea, Stacy, Amy, Nancy, Tamara, Janet, and Melanie. We went to the Cheesecake Factory. Stacy will be moving to Pensecola when school ends. I really can't imagine what Oak Grove will be like without her. We have become such good friends and I have enjoyed working with her so much. Despite what someone thought! Ha! I am sure we will be visiting her soon especially since she is near the beach. I am going to miss you Stacy.

McKenna's Field Trip

The first grade students went on a field trip to Krispy Kreme (yum) and to the Hoover Library. Here is a pic of McKenna in her Krispy Kreme hat.

Animal Kingdom

Carrington gave up her pap back in November on her own. For some reason, she started wanting it again. While waiting in line to see King Louie, we looked down to see her sucking on Hadleigh's pap (which was attached to Hadleigh). She had a quick little pap fix and was done. It was so funny. She thought she was being sneaky.

Ready for the safari ride.
We had hoped my parents would be able to go with us to Disneyworld, but it didn't work out. On the fourth day, they showed up at Animal Kingdom. This is a picture of the girls reaction when they finally spotted them. It was so sweet. We had a great time and the girls loved having them there.

Carrington really enjoyed meeting the characters. McKenna was off riding the SCARY rides with daddy most of the time while we searched for characters to meet.

Carrington had her face painted. I couldn't beleive how good she was while the lady painted her face. She didnt' move a muscle. Wish I knew that trick especially when I am doing her hair.

Meeting Mary Poppins

I had to share this cute story. Mary Poppins arrived at our table. Carrington has seen this movie, but I wouldn't say it is her favorite. She got down out of her chair and went over to Mary. I heard Carrington ask her something, but couldn't hear what it was. I leaned in and heard this cute conversation. Carrington: Where's your prince? Mary: Oh, well I don't have a prince. Carrington: You don't? Mary: Why no? Do you have a prince? Carrington: Uh-huh Mary: Who is your fine prince?
Carrington: My prince is daddy. Mary Poppins: Well, he is a very fine prince indeed. You did quite well. It was so cute! I hope she always thinks of her daddy as her prince.
